Kitsune - (11.25in x 9in x 8.75in);
A poor, humble, and honorable man came across a crying fox snared in a hunter’s trap and in pity, rescues her. As reward, the fox (who was in fact an ancient fox spirit or kitsune) helped the farmer gain wealth and offered herself as his bride. In humility, the farmer instead created a shrine for the spirit where he and his descendants honored her thereafter. Good deeds are their own reward.
